To mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on City of St. Louis residents, the City committed over $7 million dollars of CARES Act funds to create a rental and mortgage assistance program. Over 9,000 applications for rental and mortgage assistance have been received and all efforts are underway to process applications. However, funds are not sufficient to assist all 9,000 applicants who are seeking assistance.

Until Congress appropriates additional funds for rental/mortgage assistance, we are no longer accepting new applications.

If you have already applied, as our team continues to work through the December 30, 2020 deadline for the use of the Cares Act funds, your application may continue to be processed in the order in which it was received. 

We know these uncertain times are stressful, which is why we need Congress to pass an additional COVID-19 relief bill. We will be sure to notify the community once we are able to accept new applications.
